This colourful and vibrant care home garden offers wide winding paths to stroll to its various points of interest inc herbaceous borders, a lavender avenue, pergola, greenhouse, vegetable patch and the recent addition, a fascinating water feature. Residents are very involved in the garden, planning and propagating plants, and building habitats for all our fauna.

About Kingfishers Care Home

Kingfishers is an Outstanding Care Home that prides its self on its gardens with an understanding of how the garden can benefit our residents and the therapeutic effects it can offer. Sunshine, fresh air, a colourful and tranquil space to be in does wonders for the mind, body and soul. Finding space to ground yourself next to the scented roses, strolling to find the latest flowering shrub or finding a shaded corner to take your friends and relatives – these are all elements that this garden has been designed for.

Its pergola offers a home for many climbers including roses. Its herbaceous borders are brimming with vibrant colour. Its green house offers culinary delights and the veg patch shows promise of a good harvest. The shingle bed shows off what can thrive in a hot dry border. The sculptures placed for year round intrigue. The gazebos made for shady sanctuary. The sound of the water feature to accompany a tranquil space. So many elements to this garden for our residents and visitors to explore, and it is with great pride that we open for the NGS to share it with our fellow garden enthusiast.

Home-made teas inc beautiful home-made cakes made by our in house chef. Dietary requirements catered for.
