The garden first opened for the NGS in July 1929 and then opened yearly until 1936. It is a great pleasure to open it again for its 250th birthday! The estate now features several distinctive areas. The expansive garden showcases vibrant perennial flower beds, while the rose garden boasts a captivating lily pond at its center. In the courtyard, a majestic mulberry tree stands tall, adding to the charm of the surroundings. The estate also encompasses a highly productive orchard, complete with a variety of fruits including apples, plums and trained apricots, pears, peaches and gages. Additionally, the presence of a small vegetable garden provides a further source of fresh produce. For those who appreciate nature, a woodland trail offers wildlife exploration opportunities. Finally, the parkland encompasses the open spaces that complete the estates historic setting.
