About Maes Mynan Park

A hidden gem that boasts an exclusive private country estate that is shared with holiday homeowners.
For the less adventurous, or those with mobility issues, there are tarmacked roads which can be used to get a sense of place with seating arranged for viewing the lakes, wildlife, wildflowers, woodland and Clwydian Range. The tarmac roads will facilitate wheelchair access too. There are smaller walks available to enjoy the Lakeland settings. Seating will be available to allow you the opportunity to reflect on the natural beauty of Maes Mynan Park and its magical ambiance. Maes Mynan Park is a former sand and gravel quarry, and over the last 5 years, as custodians of the land, we have introduced a programme of works to rehabilitate the landscape.
Our Goal is to reclaim neglected areas, that have been consumed by brambles and introduce native and interesting species that will grow to form a diverse ecological haven. Already our program has seen an increase in wildflowers, water birds, birds of prey (including a pair of red kites), stoats, pole cat, badgers, foxes, bees and dragonflies. With recent plantations of trees, you will be able to see the young growth of a selection of different species, including oaks, hornbeams, sequoias, rowan, silver birch, horse chestnut, willow and Douglas fir.
To complement the open day, we will be arranging a local artisan/farmers market, with food and drink available. Car parking will be in designated areas, along with WC’s. All entry fee money will be donated to National Garden Scheme.
