About Melindwr Valley Bees, Tynyffordd Isaf

Melindwr Valley Bees, incorporating a Bee Farm, Sawmill, vegetable and ornamental garden, a large wildlife area which is first and foremost dedicated to wildlife and is a working environment.

The garden which extends to 4 acres has been developed using permaculture and forest garden principles. A wide variety of cultivated plants, vegetables, and herbs are grown alongside wildlife-friendly zones, with an interesting selection of animals. Subtropical greenhouse and subtropical projects are in progress with orchids, carnivorous plants, exotic fruit, and different types of stick insects. Interesting vintage machinery and tools are on display.

The garden is constantly evolving and there are, dedicated butterfly and moth areas, We are also working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Biodiversity Wales.
Children are encouraged to enjoy the surroundings as are dogs, but we ask that they are closely supervised particularly near water.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from June to 4 August for groups of between 5 and 10.
