About Menheniot Gardens

The village has an historical connection with the Royal Navy, with the commanding officer of HMS Pickle, Lt Lapenotiere, who is buried in the village churchyard. HMS Pickle was at the battle of Trafalgar and was ordered to sail back to England and report the death of Nelson to King George 111.
