About Mill Hall Farm

A maturing young garden on the High Weald changing throughout the year. Challenges include Sussex clay, deer, rabbits and squirrels and recently exposure to the late frosty East wind and drought. Two ponds and woodland beyond, woodpeckers, redstart, birds of prey, shy partridges, goldfinches and other small birds. Interesting pond life including an occasional visiting kingfisher.

Victorian underground water cistern (5000 gallons) guarded by a nymph and used for our watering system. Year-round changing colour enhanced by morning light and stunning sunsets.
