A stream in a steep valley tumbles through the garden. Visit the avenue of horse chestnuts and other interesting trees. There are lots of bridges and steps. This 6 acre garden was started in 1947. It has been changed and developed ever since to suit the owners’ tastes. It has never been professionally designed. The trees and shrubs are now well established. Some are rare or unusual. There are over 2000 roses of many varieties spread round the garden. A stream runs all the way from the top to the bottom.
