There are many rare and unusual things to see, inc 2000 roses in beds, some of them edged with local stone. A stream in a steep valley tumbles through the garden. This 6 acre garden was started in 1947. It has been changed and developed ever since to suit the owners’ tastes. It has never been professionally designed. The trees and shrubs are now well established. Some are rare or unusual. There are over 2000 roses of many varieties spread round the garden. A stream runs all the way from the top to the bottom.
