About New House Farm

An acre of country garden surrounding a Victorian farmhouse, displaying many old features some of which are incorporated into new planting schemes creating an eclectic and charming style. This garden cleverly makes areas in to rooms creating a surprise around every corner. In the main garden there is a lawn area with feature pond, striking brick folly, secret shelter, acer/bamboo corner, soft colourful flower borders, wild flower areas, aviary with pet ducks and rabbits.
A newly completed garden room is open to sit in and take in the view and enjoy the myriad of house plants.
Beyond the garden room is a walled courtyard abundant with hostas and quirky planters with further seating to rest for a while or step inside to visit the showroom.
From the courtyard Continue around the far side of the adjoining barn to find a delightful planting scheme reminiscent of a cottage garden with an array of colour.
Finally the top garden hosts a greenhouse, vegetable tubs and planters and further raised flower beds, water feature and large art studio, with work from local artists.
There are plenty of stop off points throughout these gardens to sit and ponder and take in the beauty of our native plants and exotic neighbours. There is a great deal of creativity within this garden partly due to the resident designer who runs her business of Hatfield Interiors located in one of the barns.
