Romantic walled rose garden with 90+ old fashioned rose varieties, tranquil yellow and white garden, square garden with a tapestry of self sowing perennials and Victorian style greenhouse, 300ft long colour schemed symmetrical double borders and an organic fruit garden. Maintained entirely by the owner, the gardens were designed to be managed as an ornamental ecosystem.

About Old Bladbean Stud

Five interlinked gardens all designed and created from scratch by the garden owner on 3 acres of rough grassland between 2003 and 2011. Romantic walled rose garden with over 90 old fashioned rose varieties, tranquil yellow and white garden, square garden with a tapestry of self sowing perennials and Victorian style greenhouse, 300ft long colour schemed symmetrical double borders and an organic fruit garden. The gardens are maintained entirely by the owner and were designed to be managed as an ornamental ecosystem with a large number of perennial species encouraged to set seed, and with staking, irrigation, mulching and chemical use kept an absolute minimum.
