About Pembury House
Since we moved to Clayton some 40 years ago we have been able to establish the garden here so that it gives us pleasure throughout the seasons. There is always work in progress! We planted an area of woodland early on and the whips that we planted in 1984 are now mature trees giving shelter to a wide variety of birds. The hellebores and snowdrops thrive under the woodland shade and then the ferns and shade loving plants take over.
Our garden does not stand still. There are new paths to use and borders to discover. Even if you have visited Pembury House before, it’s a garden to explore, ‘room by room’ from different directions.
