Pen Pentre

The garden at Pen Pentre has been built up around the old Aberangell railway station on banks of River Dovey. There are colourful cottage garden borders and we are in the process of creating a new wildflower meadow area with small wildlife pond. Steps lead down a more wooded area to a seating area by the river. The newly renovated railway station is home to many interesting artefacts!

About Pen Pentre

The garden is on differing levels due to the fact that it was once on a railway line. Each level has a different feel to it, with the old railway platform mainly being pots of herbs and some veg.
There are various seating areas all around the garden, each offering a different view of the garden and/or surrounding hills and countryside. There are artefacts around the garden signifying the railway and mining heritage of the area, and in the station building there are many other artefacts from a bygone era!
Please note that as there are steps to the various levels in the garden it will be unsuitable for wheelchair users or for those with limited mobility

Plants for sale in the village hall.
