About Pen-y-Garn

1½ acres in unusual setting within a former limestone quarry, the garden is on a several levels with slopes and steps. Sympathetically developed to sit within the landscape, there are 5 distinct areas with a mixture of wild and cultivated lime loving plants. A shady area with woodland planting & wild ponds; organic no-dig kitchen garden with fruit and vegetables; terraced borders with shrubs and herbaceous planting; fedges, lawns ornamental pond; and a wild garden with views across the old quarry workings.
The garden has been restored and developed over the last 13 years in our ownership with much grown from seed, propagation and cuttings from friends’ gardens. Mary-Ann looks after the garden and Mike the grass and builds things.

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from 22 March to July for groups of up to 20.
