About Rackleys
The formal planting of the courtyard contrasts with the more relaxed planting of the main lawn and surrounding gardens. The courtyard is dominated by espalier chanticleer pear trees and clipped yew underplanted with roses, lavender, salvia and penstemon. These are complimented by a restored millstone water feature as an added sensory attraction.
The main lawn has deep herbaceous borders punctuated by flowering trees. Tall calamagrostis and miscanthus grasses are mixed with cirsium, veronicastrum, scabious, geums, gaura and perovskias for a relaxed and flowing view.
Our carparks are planted with amelanchier, crab apples and hawthorn. These are surrounded by beds of tall grasses, hydrangeas, stipas, nepetas and teucrium.
The recently restored farmhouse that offers accommodation to Rackleys guests has a newly planted small, cosy garden planted with pittosporums, cornus, iris, erigeron and gladiolus byzantinus.
Join us for a serene afternoon, where you can take in the breathtaking meadow views before indulging in a delightful afternoon tea. Relax in our beautifully restored barn or soak up the atmosphere on the York terrace.
