Rhos Villa

A ¾ acre garden creatively utilising local materials. Secret pathways meander through sun and shade, dry and damp. A variety of perennials and shrubs are inter-planted to create interest throughout the year. A productive vegetable and fruit garden with semi-formal structure contrasts the looser planting through the rest of the garden.

About Rhos Villa

The garden has been developed over the last 14 years from previously uncultivated ground. Dry stone walls and cobbled pathways have been constructed from stone found in the poor rocky soils.

The use of natural local materials and a mixture of native and perennial planting has created a romantic oasis and haven for wildlife. The garden can be explored via a choice of routes, incorporating a raised walkway, fire pit, pond, fruit and vegetable garden.

There are multiple secret spaces to sit and enjoy the surroundings, including a willow tunnel and arches with tumbling roses, honeysuckle and clematis. A keen eye will spot little fairy houses amongst the flowers.
