About Rose Dale

The garden suits varying interests with a range of apple, plum, damson, pears and other trees. Soft fruit grown are strawberries, gooseberries and currants. The vegetable garden has raised beds. Vegetables grown include broccoli, kale, peas, beans and courgettes. In the greenhouses are grown tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, cucumbers and garden huckleberries.
Some of the evergreens have been formed into cloud trees and buxus has been cut into various shapes eg train, chair, teapot.
There are bulbs flowering from spring to autumn starting with snowdrops and ending with nerine.
The flower garden has roses, hydrangeas and a mixture of herbaceous plants.
We are looking to plant more drought tolerant plants with the dry, hot summers we are getting.
