About Stody Lodge

The spectacular and unusual Stody Lodge Gardens is well-known for the sheer intensity of its planting together on a grand scale, 14-acres in total. The extensive collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, magnolias and camellias, all under-planted with bluebells and spring bulbs, continue to make this family garden an exhilarating and inspiring destination.

The 4-acre Water Gardens, approached via the long rhododendron-lined drive, are considered to be the largest mass planting of Azalea mollis (around 2,000 plants) in the country. New for 2023 is the redevelopment of the Old Rose Garden with two large new herbaceous beds.
