About Temple Bar Farm
Parking will be accessed by turning into the side road and then the gateway on the left. There’s a short walk to the garden, by crossing the minor road and accessing garden from the front gate.
Guided farm walk to Iron Age Fort on open days – times TBA.
The Ancient Cattle of Wales herd can be observed from a distance. They calve from mid April.
Farm hedging – Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Laburnum & Gorse are in full flower late April-May and there are native wild flowers on the hedge banks and meadow.
The old cow track has been transformed to a Foxglove & Tree Lupin Walk which is followed by a Buddleia Walk later in the year.
The tiny semi-paved front garden is packed with Pratia, Primroses, miniature bulbs, and creeping Thymes – to resemble a Persian carpet of colour.
Most of the garden is flat and accessible, but the Lupin Walk, is a little uneven underfoot.
The farm land is uneven and stout shoes or wellingtons are advised if weather is wet.
