Tremorran & The Angel

The garden is set in the grounds of Tremorran, a mine captain's house built in the early 1900s. A maze of paths lead to many 'rooms' furnished with seating and sculptures. A sloping pebble beach around the wildlife pond is planted with a variety of grasses and sea holly. Well-stocked borders contain trees, established shrubs, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, and herbaceous plants. Walk the labyrinth.

About Tremorran & The Angel

Enter the garden up the steps into the orchard where a gunnera flourishes. Pass through the kitchen garden, and stroll up the shady woodland walk: a variety of ferns line the pathway. A shepherds hut sits in another gravel garden with waving grasses, protea and succulents. Discover the secret garden surrounded by Antipodean plants. There is a permanent granite labyrinth in the 5acre paddock, alongside a wild flower meadow. Here, over 160 native trees have been planted. Follow the winding path to the top of the paddock to enjoy views of the sea, ancient mine buildings and, if clear, the Isles of Scilly! Return through the paddock gate across the lawn and take the path into the studio garden. Annie and Martin’s studios are open to view.
