Welford Park

One of the finest natural snowdrop woodlands in the country and a wonderful display of hellebores, galanthus cultivars, winter flowering shrubs throughout the extensive gardens. This is an NGS 1927 pioneer garden on the River Lambourn set around Queen Anne House (not open). Also, the stunning setting for Great British Bake Off.

About Welford Park

Welford Park has been in the same family since 1618. There is a fine collection of trees, extensive lawns, paths along the River Lambourn and the 4 acre beech wood with its carpet of snowdrops. The formal gardens have been restored over the past 30 years and are always developing. There is a collection of Galanthus Cultivars, Viburnums, Daphnes, Salix. A snowdrop gift shop with all items made in the UK and tea rooms serving light lunches and homemade cakes.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate or via the Welford Park website www.welfordpark.co.uk. Entry ticket proceeds on Wednesday 7th February are generously donated to the National Garden Scheme. The ticket prices for 2024 are Adults £12, Concessions £10 (students and over 65s), Child 4 – 15 yrs £5 (3 and under free of charge), Groups/coaches of 30 or more £8, Family ticket £25 (2 adults & 2 children under 15 yrs).

M4 J13, A34(S). After 3m exit for A4(W) to Hungerford. At 2nd r'about take B4000, after 4m turn R signed Welford. Entrance on Newbury-Lambourn road.
