About Well Lane Corner

Mark and Sue like to garden with the local wildlife in mind as much as possible; wild plum and cherry blend with roses and lilacs in our woodland border, wild carrot, selfheal and lady’s bedstraw creep out of the wildflower meadow to colonise herbaceous borders, there are blackberries in our hedges, and newts and dragonflies in our pond.

We have recently been developing a small physic garden, with a ‘Jane Austen’ theme – after all, we are only just up the road from Chawton! Behind a flowering Rosemary hedge, you will find old fashioned physic plants such as Southernwood, Chicory, and Hyssop.
