West Wales Willows

Located in a scenic valley, halfway up a mountain, the National Plant Collection of Salix (willow) is set in a sloping field with grass pathways. Approx 260 varieties are on show, inc varieties for pollinators, autumn colour, bio fuel, hedging and windbreaks. The field also has sample living willow structures on display inc domes, tepee, long arch/tunnel, hedges and a new arbour.

On A40 at Nantgaredig, take B4310 to Brechfa. ½m after Brechfa, turn L towards Gwernogle. After 2½m pass Chapel on R, go up steep hill & bear R. Take 1st R turn & The Mill is on the R.
