About Wiston House

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs within a landscaped park, Wiston House has a Victorian garden under restoration. Features incl a conservatory, terraced lawns with herbaceous borders, a cascade, woodland garden, Italian parterre, wild-flower garden, walled vegetable garden and Victorian greenhouses. Guests will be able to walk through Wiston House taking in the 16th century Great Hall with its beautiful double hammer-beam roof. St Mary’s Church, which stands beside the house, will also be open. Like the house, it is mentioned in the Domesday Book and still has the late 12th century font although most of the structure now dates from the 14th century.
