About 49 Church Street

Apart from the existing trees, the bulk of the planting has been done in the last 10 years and so is still maturing. There is a riverside summer house with decking, a great place to spot wildlife, kingfishers if you’re lucky, a small mediterranean style courtyard and an outdoor eating area set under a pergola. A lavender walk down to the flower bed area, where lupins, delphiniums, alliums, sweet williams, roses and hydrangeas give colour and scent. A victorian style greenhouse with lavender bed to the front. A lot of the planting is for low maintenance and to give continuity through the seasons, but the seasonal planting is to encourage wildlife and bees in particular. Light refreshments available.
