A garden for snowdrops and the winter garden. A relatively small cottage garden with some unusual winter plants, a large snowdrop collection, and also many hellebores and ferns. All snowdrops can be viewed from paths, so you can leave the wellies at home, but warm clothes are essential. Please Note: Change of opening information - 5 Whitemans Close will be open, pre-booking essential, on Friday 2nd February, Wednesday 7th February and Wednesday 14th February, 10:30am - 3:30pm. Adults £5 Children free. Tea or coffee and biscuits.

About 5 Whitemans Close

A wide selection of snowdrops, of around 200 plus varieties, together with hellebores, ferns shrubs and trees, grown for scent to add winter interest to this garden. The garden can be explored by paths and raised beds making viewing these treasures a easy journey around the garden, especially in winter. Many delights in a small space, including winter flowering Clematis, so much to be enjoyed.

The garden owner who is a keen member of the Hardy Plant Society, the garden reflects her interest in plants and gardens. Growing from both cuttings and seed is a pastime of the owner. Please dress warmly for your visit, and come and enjoy my garden. There is a very large Daphne Bholua Jacqueline Postill, that scents the entire garden at this time of year, together with the various Sarcococcas.

Our delicious home-made teas including gluten free cakes, served indoors on vintage china have been very much enjoyed by our garden visitors.
