About 59 The Chase
Our garden unfolds across three tiers, each with its own character and planting.
The journey begins on a decked terrace, alive with seasonal pots.
From here, a short climb up steps, with no hand-rail, leads to a formal lawn, where clipped yews, half-standard Portuguese laurels, and a sculptural Niwaki (Ilex crenata) create rhythm and structure.
Climbing higher up the final set of steps, the mood softens into our take on an English cottage garden. Here, generous borders overflow with roses, crocosmia, Iris, anemones, and fuchsias, alongside hostas, hydrangeas and a Tasmanian tree fern that provide contrast in leaf and form. In summer, the garden is a tapestry of colour and texture, while seating areas invite visitors to pause, rest, and enjoy views through the garden.
