About 6 Scholar Place

This urban garden on a gently sloping site is in three parts – front, back and side. All parts have a varied selection of small trees, climbers, shrubs and perennials, including lots with foliage interest such as ferns. The back part is on two levels, with a few steps leading from the lower patio level to the upper level, which is divided into several distinct areas and which features a dramatic ceramic sculpture. The side part, which has a wilder feel, is beside a public footpath. The front garden (which faces north) has hedges on two sides, grassed areas to each side of the path, and a wide border facing the road.

Dramatic ceramic sculpture by Caroline Winn.
