The Priory

Sweeping lawns and a curving drive lead up to a Regency Gothic villa (not open). The garden, laid out by John Claudius Loudon, is gradually being restored after decades of neglect. In new borders white flowers complement shrubs with a variety of foliage and young trees are establishing themselves among mature yews and beeches. A small vegetable plot occupies what used to be the orchard.
