About 61 High Street

A south facing garden on the top of a hill in the Fens. Shade is the key allowing a multiple layered effect of interesting small trees, shrubs, a collection of Acers, Lavenders and Ornamental grasses, several bubbling water features and small multiple cropped vegetable and herb plots. Climbers including Clematis, Wisteria, Kiwi fruit, Roses and Honeysuckle frame the patio seating area along with hanging baskets. A veranda above provides shade and fine views across the top of the trees from which 10 church towers and the US War memorial at Madingley 14 miles away can be spied. A productive greenhouse & soft fruit complete the picture.
