About Aberangell Village Gardens

Ger y Llyn, a small newly designed and thoughtfully developed garden, consisting of beautiful borders, a veg plot, originally designed water feature, wild area and seating areas.

Ty Hebron is built into the steep hillside, where planting is a challenge. Decking and paths take you along the linear garden with steps up to a fabulous viewpoint. Raised beds and innovative ideas are used to create a peaceful garden in this most difficult of plots. This garden is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the steep angle of the garden.

Pen Pentre is the site of an old station where many railway artefacts have been dug up and now displayed in the original waiting room. Cottage garden style planting forms the main part of the colourful garden, with a veg plot and wild flower bed situated on what was the railway line. Slate steps lead you down to a seating area right on the edge of the river.

Bethania Chapel garden is full of salvaged and upcycled artefacts, used to provide planters and interest in this small garden. Espaliered fruit trees grow along the chapel walls and reclaimed slate and Victorian railings are given a new purpose in this sculptor’s garden.

Swn yr Afon: a small garden reclaimed from wasteland with views right over the river, steep banks and difficult terrain make this a gardening challenge, with a focus on wildlife habitats.
Nant y Cyf: a large landscaped garden with many interesting features, including a large slate retaining wall, large beds and borders and a productive veg plot.

The Old Coach House: a cottage style garden with little paths leading to different seating areas and views over the river. Perennials, shrubs, veg and roses.

Transport is provided to shuttle visitors from one end of the village to the other and to the Old Coach House which is outside the village on the A470
