Aldersbrook Gardens

Four different gardens situated on the Aldersbrook Estate between Wanstead Park and Wanstead Flats. 1 Clavering Road is an end of terrace garden where incremental space to the side has been adapted to create a kitchen garden and chicken coop, excess produce is eagerly received by five resident hens. Borders and beds contain a variety of planting. At 4 Empress Avenue a largish garden is divided in two with a cutting bed, soft fruit and wildlife areas inc pond and two mixed borders: one with hot colours and one with white planting. The diverse garden at 19 Belgrave Road is eclectic and busting at the seams with trees and plants. Gill is a ceramicist who uses the plants in her work in her garden studio. Surviving, Edwardian design garden at 39 Dover Road, a new addition to the group this yr.
