Anne Turner Memorial Allotments

Allotments founded in 1902 by philanthropist Anne Turner for the local community celebrating 120 years of allotment gardening. There are 83 plots cared for by enthusiastic gardeners producing flowers, fruit and vegetables in an attractive setting. Competition sweet peas and dahlias in addition to homegrown produce. A protected woodland copse providing a wildlife sanctuary is currently being restored.

About Anne Turner Memorial Allotments

An historic allotment site in cultivation since the 1902 bequest of land by Anne Turner of Ferriby House. In an attractive village setting, the allotments are unspoilt by sheds or greenhouses, one corner has a protected woodland copse currently under restoration as a wildlife habitat.
Individual plots cared for by diverse age group of allotmenteers from teenagers to retirees.
The North Ferriby Village Show is also on the same day. Entrance from 2.00pm and available for refreshments.
The Riding for the Disabled cafe is also nearby for refreshments.
