About Badge Court

The 2 ½ acre garden is set against the backdrop of a 16th century house (not open) with a fascinating history (which is provided as part of the one hour garden tour). The garden is divided into a series of uniquely different areas. Large mature trees including 500 year old yews frame the garden. A Spring garden with stumpery is offset with a small and large pool. The topiary garden offers a large selection of trees and shrubs. A walled garden with well stocked greenhouses leads to a recently planted orchard with a rockery. The Mediterranean Garden is still evolving with many pots of interest. There are specialist beds of heucheras, hostas, lupins and acers. A long well stocked herbaceous border frames the back lawn and runs down to a large potager garden with a cut flower and fruit area. A cherry tunnel is under planted with clematis and is surrounded by a wild flower area. Also there is a Japanese Garden complete with bridge, pool and tea house.
