Balcombe Gardens

Within the Balcombe AONB there are three quite different gardens that are full of variety and interest, which will appeal to plant lovers. In the village, Winterfield is a country garden packed with uncommon shrubs and trees, herbaceous borders, a summerhouse, pond and wildlife area. At nearby Stumlet the garden is restful, there are places to sit and enjoy a little peace, scent and colour. Redesigned to inc interesting plants for lasting enjoyment by different generations. A garden to watch develop in the future. Sorry, due to unforeseen circumstances 46 Westup Farm Cottages will not be opening as part of the group.

Balcombe is in a designated AONB. Traceable back to the Saxons, the village contains 55 listed buildings inc C15 parish church of St Mary’s. Nearby is the famous Ouse Valley Viaduct, ancient woodlands, lake, millpond and reservoir.
