About Bath Priory Hotel
The Bath Priory is a true hidden gem – a beautiful, historic building, with four acres of glorious landscape gardens, nestled close to the heart of Georgian Bath and the Botanic Gardens.
The hotel gardens themselves encompass 3 acres of lawn and meadow at the back of the house, and an acre of courtyard at the front. There is a Victorian feel to the structure of the gardens, which is complemented by an array of different plant and tree species, from the tulips blooming vibrantly in the spring, to the great cedar of Lebanon that dominates the wild meadow on the adjacent side of the garden (it’s over 150 years old!). Find the characterful old mulberry tree, and explore a collection of Cotinus. Don’t forget to take a look at the beautiful Italianate rose garden, complete with water feature, and enjoy the opportunity to sit on the pretty sun terrace, looking out over the croquet lawn whilst sipping a glass of champagne!
The Bath Priory opened its gardens for 15 years until 2019 under the National Garden Scheme (NGS) Yellow Book, and is delighted to be opening under the NGS again in July 2025.
