About Bedford Heights
The building was originally built by Texas Instruments and the Texas theme runs throughout both the building and the gardens. The entrance garden simulates a Texan arroyo, or dry river bed, and is filled with succulents and cacti, many of which are Texan natives. These river beds are situated on the prairies of north America and the borders around the arroyo are filled with a mixture of grasses and herbaceous plants, many of which are also natives.
There are also 3 courtyard gardens within the building, each with its own character. Because these courtyards are virtually frost free we are able to grow less hardy plants. Gardens designed by Graham A Pavey.
