Herbaceous borders, walled garden, themed gardens, rose garden, potager, prairie plantings, Japanese garden, tropical garden, winter garden, plant centre. About Broomfield Hall

There are 25 acres of beautiful educational gardens at Broomfield Hall – the land based campus of Derby College. Within the Victorian gardens there is a large walled garden divided into themed areas, a plant centre, a long herbaceous border, rose garden, tropical garden, ornamental grasses, winter garden, prairie plantings, Japanese styled garden, Fuchsia collection, and woodland walks brimming with many beautiful tree specimens.
We offer homemade cakes and refreshments at the pop-up volunteer café and provide garden tours, plant and garden specialists such as bonsai, Fuchsia, cacti, alpine and carnivorous.
