About Bustlers Cottage

The original garden was carefully planned and planted in the early 1950s with the needs of a young family in mind. Almost half the existing garden was put down to vegetable and fruit growing. The ‘young family’ of the time includes the current owner, who still grows vegetables on the same plot, but using a smaller area. Many additional trees have been planted in the subsequent 70 years, and the shape and function of different spaces has ebbed and flowed.
