Cancerhelp

Work on our ‘Sanctuary’ garden began in 2025, thanks to the generosity of the National Garden Scheme’s Garden for Health funding programme. This special garden, with subtle planting will provide a space for comfort and reflection. Opening for the National Garden Scheme in 2026 will be a symbol of hope, growth and renewal in supporting clients on their journey.

About Cancerhelp

At the time of writing work on the garden is commencing mid-September 2025. This is a relatively small therapeutic space which will have a range of easy to maintain yet visually stimulating planting schemes. The aim is to enable our clients to spend time in the garden weather permitting, as part of their therapy sessions, should they wish. Clients may also wish to join our gardening group. This year will see the garden open and future years will see it become more established and a focus can be given to the plants that have thrived, and the garden can be added to with suitable specimen plants that will attract more visitors to the open garden week(s).

Visit by Arrangement

This garden opens for By Arrangement visits from June to July for groups of up to 10.
