About Careys Secret Garden

Carey’s Secret Garden opened its gates to the public in May 2021. This wild, walled,
Victorian garden was only rediscovered in 2019 and has undergone extensive
restoration to re-imagine the gardens for a modern age. Visitors can enjoy an Arid Garden, Rose Garden, Tea & Herb Garden, traditional orchard & local wildflower meadow, fruit cage and delicious no-dig vegetable beds. Explore the exciting Stumpery and Food Forest area. Our commitment is to work with the local community, producers, and businesses so we have partnered with The Salt Pig who provide refreshments and light bites from our special ‘Secret Cafe’ on site. Please feel free to bring along your own re-usable cup to help us reduce waste

Set against the backdrop of the spectacular Isle of Purbeck, Carey’s Secret Garden
remains a closely guarded secret due to its unique habitat and sensitive wildlife.

Visitors can expect to see a young and exciting space that they can return to
enjoy seeing grow over the coming years.
