About Chippins

Artist’s garden and plantaholics’ paradise offering surprises around every corner! Spring heralds the soft blue tones of the iris, vivid green hostas contrasting with the purples of aliums and firework Schuberti.
Summer is an explosion of colour and scent with an orchestra of plants featuring an abundance of tubs, hanging baskets and pots, including seed grown bird of paradise, succulents, cacti and coleus collection in the conservatory.
A meandering stream leads into the main garden which features wide borders brimming with hemerocallis, swathes of lilies and later in the season the tones alter with dahlias, salvias and exotics such as Streptocarpus, begonias, and even tetrapanax rex!
Lots of places to relax and enjoy tea and home-made cakes, including our ‘Posh Shed’ with a verandah against the British summer! In the shared etching workshop /greenhouse Kit has a small exhibition space and welcomes visitors to have a look around.
