The Folly

This is a small garden which has a mix between classic English country border alongside a more formal Italian element at the rear of the garden after the lawned area. There are many seating areas in both sunny spots and in shady areas. The garden benefits from privacy created by large trees in neighbouring gardens. A very old olive tree imported from Italy is the main focus in the formal area.

About The Folly

The Village of Felsted has many green areas due to the large school which dominates the village. The Folly is well known for its Topiary elephant (yew) which is locally a well loved village feature. It is regularly ‘dressed up’ for various events throughout the year and has had its own calendar created for raising money for local charities.
The Folly is located in the centre of the village, next door to the Preparatory school along Braintree Road. The Chequers public house is on the opposite side of the road about 100m from the house.
