About Church House
A one acre garden of sweeping mixed borders full of colour, contrasting features and textures complimented by sculptures and unusual mature trees including Juglans nigra, Acer davidii and a white flowering Catalpa bignonioides centrepiece as well as many unusual varieties of traditional British plants. The garden also contains a semi-woodland area, a completely replanted formal rose garden and an enclosed well and patio screened by espaliered fruit trees.
Roses can be found in a number of different settings and the themed herbaceous borders offer a garden of exceptional variety and interest reflecting the owners’ interest in change and improvement.
At just below 700ft this one acre garden has a mixture of soils with some acid areas enjoyed by camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons.
Wheelchair access
Wheelchair access is possible to most areas. The garden is largely flat with lawns but there is a gravel drive, uneven woodland paths and terrace with steps down to the second patio.
