About Cold Comfort Farm

We seeded our wildflower meadows 8 years ago and since then they has become a haven for a diverse range of wildflowers and insects. You can wander through the middle of the meadow along cut paths and enjoy the scents and sounds. Alongside the meadow is a typical wrap around farm garden on a variety of different levels to accommodate the sloping plot.

We run our farm as a small plant nursery specialising in hardy perennials and the garden is used to showcase these, especially taking into account the windy and challenging conditions. You will find perennial beds, a raised bed garden using sustainable plastic planking, a flower hedge, sinks, a rockery, a gravel garden as well as greenhouses, a polytunnel and an active compost system, all of which are used to help us grow our nursery stock.

On a clear day we have stunning views across the Cleddau Valley to the Preselis. Our garden is welcoming and informal and we hope will provide you with lots of ideas for your own garden, however big or small.
Teas with a great choice of homemade cakes are available on our sunny patio, or if you visit by arrangement, in our log cabin with stunning views of the Preselis. On weekday openings we also provide light lunches with homemade sourdough bread.
