23 Hid's Copse Road

The garden surrounds a house built in the early 1930s (not open) on a ½ acre plot. Designed to be wildlife friendly, it has a kitchen garden, two ponds with frogs and newts, a wildflower meadow and woodland areas under many trees. Small winding paths lead to areas to sit and contemplate. The planting is dependent on the area within the garden, but a special treat are the snowdrops in early spring.

About 23 Hid's Copse Road

The garden is designed to be a haven for wildlife and pollinators and we use no chemicals. The grassy areas are not mown from May to September and we have a designated wildflower ‘meadow’ . There is a kitchen garden with raised beds and pumpkin patch. The garden is full of snowdrops in the early spring followed by masses of spring bulbs.

We have uncovered new areas this year previously full of large laurel and viburnum plants which we hope will give the garden new corners to explore.
