About Dormers

This 1.5 acre garden has been created from undulating pasture & the owners have sourced and planted everything growing here. The visitor can enjoy the rose walk, a rose bed with towering delphiniums, exotic gardens, a large informal pond attracting wildlife, orchard, gravel garden with formal pond, alpine bank, many unusual trees and shrubs, numerous different salvias, a display of potted exotics and succulents and competition standard sweet peas, dahlias and gladioli. There are large beds of buddleias and over 30 different varieties of hydrangeas, which will be flowering in a glorious array of colours by mid-summer. There are numerous delightful seating areas, from which the visitor can enjoy the beauty of the garden and of the surrounding countryside and experience its tranquillity. The exotic gardens will be approaching the climax of their exuberant display of late summer colour, with the flowering of salvias in variety, cannas, eucomis, hedychium, ricinus and tithonias, amongst many others.
