Duxford Gardens

Eight gardens of different sizes and character. 2 Green St is packed with plants and flowers, 5 Green St is an enclosed garden which was planted to be easily managed and require little maintenance without compromising on colour and interest. 31 St Peter’s St, on a steep slope, is filled with surprises, and a dry rockery. Bustlers Cottage has a cottage garden inc vegetables, many trees and places to sit. Stop here for a home-made cream tea and buy some plants. The gardener at 16 Ickleton Rd is a plantaholic, unable to refuse room to an unusual plant, and has a fascinating garden as a result. This may be the last opportunity to visit this garden- not to be missed. The garden at Robynet House, with its many rooms, fountain, stream and glorious planting is picture perfect and inspiring. In St John's St, the garden at number 38, Old Laceys, is a cottage garden with some formal touches, inc a cloud pruned Pyracantha. Opposite Old Laceys a grass maze has been mown into the lawn at the Rectory.
