Fairmile Common Gardens

Four contrasting gardens inc many mature specimen trees. One with new water feature surrounding oak room (not open), vegetables and potager. Another large garden with a castle folly alongside a new and extensive natural pond, sanctuary garden, triffid bed and wilderness mound. The third, a romantic, naturalistic garden on the wild side, much photographed and published. Original features to inspire. New this year is an immaculately maintained plantaholic's family garden. Velvet lawns and colourful borders.

About Fairmile Common Gardens

Fairmile Lea
Victorian house with grounds of 1 acre adjacent to Fairmile Common. The house has a Sanctuary Garden with grasses and flowers, through which a pathway takes you to a seating area. Mature trees frame one side of the garden and in the middle of the main lawn the owners have started a programme to regrow a giant Acacia tree cut due to the effects of drought and disease. A mound covering an air raid shelter divides the rear garden and is designed as wilderness. On the other side is a more formal arrangement centred upon a large natural pond with a bog garden and graced by a ruined castle folly.
