About Fountain Court

Having moved in to Fountain Court in 2016 I started the garden the following year. The original garden had been completed erased by the previous owner. Apart from the leaking Edwardian lily pond it was the equivalent of a new build garden. I wanted to create a romantic garden with a formal structure and loose planting . I’ve planted a number of trees including birch, Persian ironwood, Katsura, wedding day tree, tulip tree and a cercis among others for privacy. The pond has been repaired, keeping back one of the existing water lilies and a new summerhouse constructed. Plants includes shrub roses and alliums. I’ve tried to encourage bees and pollinators. I hope to extend the garden over coming years so definitely a work in progress.
