'Enchanting, magical place, one of our favourites which has given us much inspiration. A real asset to the NGS and fabulous home-made teas by the stream!'.

About Greatcombe

Tranquil garden nestled in a Dartmoor valley, with babbling stream, swathes of colour and textual foliage. Gentle paths and lawns bordered by spring and summer flowering shrubs, herbaceous plants and ornamental grasses, plus ‘The Stairway to Devon’ climbing through loosely planted banks featuring both cultivated and wild flowers. ‘Just Wow! Colour, shapes, planting – Thank you for the joy!!’ (visitor comment) Sumptuous home-made cream teas and cakes. Plant Nursery offering a wide variety of plants from the garden. Artist’s Studio with paintings and cards for sale. ‘Made by Robbie’ metalwork artefacts and garden supports for sale. ‘I visit every year and it just gets better and better -Well done NGS!!’ (Visitor comment).

Yes, dogs are welcome at  Greatcombe. Please keep the dogs on fixed short leads in the garden and keep in mind that you are responsible for controlling the dog’s behaviour. For any specific rules please ask the owners.
